Mission Statement

LGBTQ Allyship builds power among LGBTQ communities and allies in Washington State to work towards economic, racial, and gender justice. We do this through community organizing, education, advocacy, and developing grassroots leadership in solidarity with other marginalized communities.

  • All oppressions are interconnected.
  • Activism, strategies, practices reflect anit-racism values.
  • Social justice, fairness, compassion, democracy, accountability, and transparency are reflected within the organizational structure and practices.
  • A movement or organization is built one person at a time.

Wow! YOU are fast with your responses. I, too, found the meeting last night very special and delicious! (Don’t know where that word came from, but if my granddaughter can say my broken oven is “booty”, plus a list of other nonsensical words with unrelated meanings, I can use delicious! It was the sharing of heart, stories, people that made it so.

Debbie, I thought you did a great job of leadership, moving things along and allowing the present to happen. I’m glad you started with the closing “routine” before the letter writing. Your skill and comfortableness was a big part of making what happened last night, happen. I look forward to the next meeting.
